Representing Eastern Province and based in Gqeberha, the Dafabet Warriors are one of South Africa’s most tradition-rich domestic teams. With Dafabet St George’s Park, famed for its brass band and historic charm, as their home ground, the Warriors blend legacy with a renewed focus on youth development and competitive consistency.
They finished third in the 4-Day Series last term and reached the semi-finals of the One-Day Cup, where they were edged out by the Hollywoodbets Dolphins. As they do every term, they will have their eyes firmly set on winning silverware in the new term.
The team is captained by a rising Proteas star Matthew Breetzke, a stylish top-order batter whose leadership and run-scoring have been central to their performances last term. Head coach Robin Peterson, a former Proteas left-arm spinner, brings tactical clarity and calm authority to the dressing room.
