JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirms the immediate dismissal of Northern Cape Cricket (NCC) Chief Executive Officer Thapelo January and Northern Cape Heat Team Manager and former NCC Director and Finance Committee Chair, Mbulelo Bosman.
Their dismissal follows a disciplinary process initiated in September 2025 based on the outcome of a forensic investigation into the affairs of NCC. This investigation uncovered serious financial mismanagement, misconduct, and governance breaches by both individuals.
Both employees were found guilty on most of the charges they were facing, with the sanction of immediate dismissal recommended by the independent chairpersons of the respective disciplinary enquiries. Some of the related charges include;
1. Financial Misconduct
2. Unethical conduct & integrity breaches
3. Falsification of documents and records
4. Possible corruption & other criminal contraventions
5. Abuse of power & other forms of misconduct
CSA remains committed to the highest standards of governance, accountability, and integrity across all its structures. The process to stabilise and strengthen management at NCC continues under CSA administration.
