The South Western Districts Women’s Cricket Team (SWD Women) represents the heart of the Garden Route and Karoo with pride, passion, and purpose. Based in Oudtshoorn, the team competes in both the CSA Women’s One-Day Cup (Pro50) and the CSA Women’s T20 Challenge (Pro20) — showcasing the region’s growing strength in South African women’s cricket.
Since making their debut in the 2005–06 season, SWD Women have built a reputation for resilience, teamwork, and steady progress. Their journey has been one of dedication and growth, culminating in a historic breakthrough during the 2021–22 season when they topped Pool A and defeated Free State in a playoff to secure a place in the Top 6 for the first time.
