The Eastern Storm represents Easterns Cricket, a Union rooted in Benoni and serving a broad catchment across Ekurhuleni and surrounding East Rand communities.

Playing out of Willowmoore Park, the Storm have forged a strong identity in Division Two of CSA’s restructured domestic game. Their 2024/25 season was a breakthrough in the post franchise era after they reached the T20 Cup final and consistently challenged in the 4-Day and 1-Day formats.

They have emerged as a competitive white-ball side, especially in T20 cricket, while continuing to rebuild their red-ball credentials.

With seasoned leaders like all-rounder Grant Thomson in their ranks, together with established domestic profiles such as Tumelo Simelane and Kabelo Sekhukhune, the squad blends grit with flair.

Under accomplished former Lions and Titans head coach Geoffrey Toyana, the Storm are building a competitive, inclusive future grounded in local pride.
