Lions Cricket administers all amateur cricket that is played in the following demarcated areas: Soweto, Kagiso, Johannesburg North, Alexandra, Wits and surrounding areas, Vaal, South East Area, Jeppe, Lenasia and Johannesburg Central. Lions Cricket continues to invest in 6 township-based HUBS and 1 Regional Performance Centre (RPC) serving previously disadvantaged communities within Gauteng offering coaching and mentorship programmes. Among Lions Cricket’s key focus areas is to grow Women, Blind, Deaf Cricket and reach far end of the province’s rural areas. Over 50 Community Based Clubs participate in 18 Leagues that sees over 2000 cricket matches played over a season. All the leagues are administered by Lions Cricket.
Various Associations are affiliated to Lions Cricket namely; South Gauteng Primary Schools Cricket Association, Gauteng High Schools Cricket Association, Gauteng Cricket Coaches Association, Gauteng Deaf Cricket, Gauteng Blind Cricket Association, Gauteng Cricket Umpires Association and Gauteng Cricket Scorers Association.
