Proteas Men Set for Historic T20i Pink Day Send-off

JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa is set to deliver an unforgettable Pink Day when the Proteas Men host the West Indies in the final KFC T20 International (T20I) at a sold-out DP World Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday, 31 January. The match will mark the first time the national side takes the field in a T20I wearing pink as they stand united in the fight to beat breast cancer. Aiden Markram’s side head into the encounter with an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series, following wins at the picturesque Boland Park in Paarl on Tuesday and the ever-popular SuperSport Park in Centurion on Thursday. The third KFC T20I will blend world-class cricket with music, colour and purpose, delivering the ultimate Pink Day experience for fans, while the proceeds from the match will be donated to the Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital in Johannesburg. Spectators are encouraged to Pitch Up in Pink, with the best-dressed supporter set to win two return flights, sponsored by FlySafair. A Pink Day Concert, presented by Nestle, will add to the spectacle, with one of South Africa’s leading DJs, MÖRDA, set to headline the innings break. FlySafair’s Catch The Match competition will reward the first spectator to pull off a clean catch off a six in the stands with return flights anywhere in South Africa, while Suzuki will be on site with a display vehicle and a live camera-facing car activation. Fans can look out for the Beame mascot, snap photos with it, and stand a chance to win exciting prizes, alongside a range of additional fan activations designed to enhance the overall experience. The occasion will provide a vibrant and fitting send-off as the Proteas Men turn their focus to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, giving supporters one last opportunity to rally behind the national side on home soil.
