06 Aug SJN HEARINGS: MINISTER OF SPORT, ARTS AND CULTURE ADDRESS
JOHANNESBURG: The Cricket for Social Justice and Nation Building (SJN) hearings will adjourn today following an address by the Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Mr Nathi Mthethwa, at 10:00.
Minister Mthethwa is scheduled to give his Department’s take on the issues raised in the statements, affidavits and oral testimonies to date and since the hearings commenced.
The Ombudsman will in turn have the opportunity to pose questions to the Minister on behalf of the viewing and listening public, based on the list of questions sent to the Office of the Transformation Ombudsman by these interested parties, who have requested that he should engage the Minister on the subjects raised.

The SJN hearings will resume on Monday, 23 August, to allow parties who wish to respond to allegations made against them an opportunity to testify before the Transformation Ombudsman.
