29 Nov FINAL DAY OF FIRST UNOFFICIAL TEST BETWEEN SA A AND INDIA A WASHED OUT AS MATCH ENDS IN DRAW
BLOEMFONTEIN: The fourth and final day of the first four-day game between South Africa A and India A was abandoned without a ball being bowled after persistent rain at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein on Friday.
Following an eventful three days that saw more than 800 runs scored in favourable conditions, including centuries from Pieter Malan (163), Tony de Zorzi (117) and India’s Abhimanyu Easwaran (103), the match ended in a draw with the two captains shaking hands to settle on the result.
The second match is scheduled for Tuesday, 30 November at the same venue, with series well-poised with two games to go.
