11 Oct CSA AGM APPROVES FINANICIAL STATEMENTS AND APPOINTMENT OF CHAIR OF AUDIT, GOVERNANCE AND RISK COMMITTEE
IRENE, PRETORIA: The Cricket South Africa (CSA) Members’ Council has today approved the Financial Statements presented by the Board. This follows CSA’s first Annual General Meeting (AGM) post the election of the Board, which comprises of majority of Independent’s.
In a keynote address, the Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Mr Nathi Mthethwa congratulated CSA on its chosen path of recovery and challenged its leadership to work as a team towards the shared vision of the organization.
In presenting the Director’s Report, Chairperson of the Board, Mr Lawson Naidoo mentioned that despite various challenges that CSA had been through in the past financial year, the organization was however able to achieve an unqualified audit.
The summary of the financial report confirmed that CSA is liquid and a going concern, in spite of the various difficulties presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The AGM resolved to appoint Dr Dugmore Lushaba as Chairperson of the Audit, Governance and Risk Committee. This is after its former Chairperson Mr Lawson Naidoo was appointed Chairperson of the CSA Board.
