CSA 4-DAY SERIES WRAP – TITANS CLAIM A TEN-WICKET VICTORY IN THE JUKSKEI DERBY

JOHANNESBURG: The Cricket South Africa (CSA) 4-Day Series continued with Momentum Multiply Titans securing a comfortable ten-wicket victory over the DP World Lions on Sunday.

Chasing only 44 runs, Neil Brand (18* off 29) and Dean Elgar (25* off 28) made the easy chase in less than ten overs.

Titans and Proteas spinner, Simon Harmer, played a huge role in the victory, claiming 14 wickets in the match.

Harmer returned figures of (7/83 in 46 Overs), and (7/68 in 20 Overs) in the two innings, respectively.

Earlier, Lions had won the toss as Joshua Richards (107) and Ryan Rickelton (108*) centuries powered the home-side to a first innings score of 354 runs.

In response, Theunis de Bruyn (101), Neil Brand (91), Heinrich Klaasen (69), and Dean Elgar (55) saw the visitors finish 449 all out.

Harmer and Lizaad Williams (3/34) took advantage of the 95-run lead and restricted the Lions to 139 runs all out at the end of Day 3.

Meanwhile, Hollywoodbets Dolphins and Gbets Rocks shared the spoils after two days of no play in a rain-interrupted encounter in Durban.

On Saturday, Six Gun Grill Western Province won by an innings and 155 runs against ITEC Knights, whilst Dafabet Warriors secured a comfortable 239-run victory against North West Dragons.

The CSA 4-Day Domestic returns in February 2023.
