Betway SA20 Season 2 media accreditation open

Accreditation portal will be open from 1 November to 20 December 2023

Wednesday, 1 November: Media accreditation for the anticipated Season 2 of Betway SA20 starting on 10 January 2024 is open.

Members of the media including written press, non-rights holding photographers, TV and radio broadcasters are invited to complete the application through the online portal HERE.

The application only applies to the 30 round-robin matches taking place across the six venues of Wanderers (Johannesburg), Centurion, Kingsmead (Durban), St George’s Park (Gqeberha), Boland Park (Paarl) and Newlands (Cape Town). Accreditation for the play-offs and the final will be opened at a later stage.

St George’s Park will host the opening match between defending Champions, Sunrisers Eastern Cape and losing semi-finalists, Joburg Super Kings on Wednesday 10 January, marking the start of a month-long summer of world-class cricket and entertainment.

The accreditation application portal will remain open until 17h00 on 20 December 2023. Media will be required to upload the following documents through the online portal:

  1. A colour headshot photograph with a plain background (like a passport photo) – jpeg file (1-2MB)
  2. Letter of approval/assignment from your Editor/Commissioning Editor – pdf or jpeg file
  3. Passport/National ID/Driving License

Non-rights holders will not be allowed to capture any live match-day footage, but will be given access to pre-match media press conferences, practices and post-match media press conferences.

The Betway SA20 live match photography will be streamlined through the use of a single match-day photography agency. Photographers working for national and international media organisations will be allowed access to capture match-day photographs, which are only to be used for editorial purposes. Photographers who apply for accreditation will only have access to pre-match media press conferences, practices and post-match media press conferences.

Media travelling outside of South Africa will be required to obtain the necessary work permits and visa documents to conduct work in South Africa.

Please adhere to the accreditation Terms and Conditions on the portal for your convenience.

SA20 reserves the right to use its sole discretion when approving or rejecting applications.
