16 Oct DRAGONS STUN TITANS IN TSHWANE
TSHWANE: North West Dragons clinched a massive eight-wicket win over Momentum Multiply Titans in their Cricket South Africa (CSA) 1 Day Cup clash at SuperSport Park on Friday.
After opting to bat first in their backyard, Dewald Brevis batted his way to a maiden List A century as Titans set the target to 208 runs.
Brevis (100 off 78) did not get much support as wickets kept falling around him, putting up 69 runs with Matthew Kleinveldt (47), and 38 runs with Rivaldo Moonsamy (5) before he fell to Kerwin Mungroo in the 26th over.
Mungroo (2/33), Migael Pretorius (2/35), and Senuran Muthusamy (2/46) led the attack that restricted the hosts to 207 all out in just under 38 overs.
Dragons made an easy chase when Meeka-eel Prince (89 off 78) and Lesego Senokwane (52 off 47) combined for an opening partnership of 115 runs. The pair fell to Neil Brand (2/36), who trapped Senokwane lbw and Prince stumped by Moonsamy off his delivery.
Raynard van Tonder (32*) and Wihan Lubbe (15*) took the innings home to secure a comfortable eight-wicket win for the visitors.
In Division 2, Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers won by 30 runs against Limpopo Impalas in Oudtshoorn on Thursday.
