Van Niekerk also pays hockey and softball.

She is studying Sports Management in Port Elizabeth.

She loves to cook & is really good at it too.

Van Niekerk and Marizanne Kapp are the first female cricketers to be included in the Eastern Province Cricket Academy, playing with male cricketers.
