Henry Davids has been a consistent performer in the franchise limited overs competitions for a period of time but he really came to the fore during the 2013-13 season in the Momentum One-Day Cup competition in which he made 450 runs at an average of 40 with a strike rate of 90. This included the joint top individual score (with Richard Levi) of 166.
He has thrived on the extra responsibility of being appointed captain of The Unlimited Titans squad for the four-day Sunfoil Series and this has been a further sign of the increased maturity of his game.
He has always been an excellent fielder and he has also become a more-than-useful off-spin bowler which makes him a very versatile performer in limited overs cricket.
He made his T20 debut against New Zealand at the end of 2012 and was the leading runs scorer in the three-match series. He made his ODI debut against Pakistan in the home series at the end of 2013.
THE Unlimited Titans captain, Henry Davids, has paid tribute to his team for the manner in which they fought to secure the Sunfoil Series title over the weekend.
THE Unlimited Titans saw off a spirited innings from Colin Ingram to wrap up a 66-run victory over the Warriors at SuperSport Park on Sunday and complete the perfect start to their Sunfoil Series campaign.
THE Unlimited Titans’ new opening pair of Quinton de Kock and Henry Davids finally achieved lift-off as their 71-run stand provided the impetus required for a five-wicket victory over the Warriors in the second game of Sunday’s double-header at SuperSport Park.
HENRY DAVIDS proved to be a more than adequate replacement for Indian-bound Albie Morkel as Northerns cruised to a 35-run victory over KZN in the first semi-final of the Africa T20 Cup competition at the Mangaung Oval on Saturday.
