CRICKET SOUTH AFRICA (CSA) has congratulated North West on winning the CSA Senior Provincial one-day title. North West took the honours when they beat Gauteng by 34 runs in a well-contested final at the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium on Sunday.

“Congratulations to North West on their well-deserved achievement,” commented CSA Acting Chief Executive Thabang Moroe. “They won seven of their 10 pool matches to qualify for the final and had the leading runs scorer overall in Janneman Malan who made 69 runs in the final to take his aggregate for the season to exactly 500 for an average of 55.55 with an excellent strike rate in excess of 87.

“They also had the leading wicket-taker in Dyllan Matthews who finished the season with 21 dismissals,” concluded Mr. Moroe.

The Sunfoil Cup Provincial final will be played this coming weekend.
