CRICKET SOUTH AFRICA (CSA) and broadcast partner, SuperSport International, have joined forces to allow fans around the world to witness the action in the historic ‘A’ Triangular Series between SA ‘A’, India ‘A’ and Afghanistan ‘A’.
The remaining group games in the series will be streamed live on www.cricket.co.za
The first of these matches to be streamed will be on Sunday, 30 July 2017, when SA ‘A’ take on Afghanistan ‘A’ in the third match of the series.
The final to be played at the Tuks Oval on 08 August 2017 will be televised live on SuperSport.
“This is what it means for us to have SuperSport as our broadcast partner," said CSA Chief Executive, Haroon Lorgat.
"Such exciting news would not be possible without their involvement especially at a time when we are looking to enhance our digital capabilities and give our fans greater access to all our cricket matches.
“We are grateful to our partners, SuperSport, who have shown great innovation in helping us to promote the game at all levels.
“There is more good news for cricket fans in SA as we live stream local cricket for the first time and at no cost,” concluded Mr. Lorgat.
Gideon Khobane, Chief Executive of SuperSport, is delighted with this development. “We operate in a fast-changing broadcast world, so this is a natural evolution,”
he said. “I’m thrilled that it has come to this event where interest will be significant. We look forward to seeing the results.”
