CRICKET SOUTH AFRICA (CSA) today announced the domestic franchise and semi-professional fixture lists for the 2016-17 season.
There is one major change as far as the franchises are concerned with the Momentum One-Day Cup now taking place in one block of fixtures from mid-February to the end of March. The RAM SLAM T20 Challenge will take place as normal from early November to the middle of December while the Sunfoil Series will be split into two segments of five rounds each with the first half kicking off the franchise season from the beginning of October to the first week of November and the second half taking place in January and early February.
As always, the fixtures have been dovetailed to suit the Proteas requirements.
The CSA semi-professional provincial competition will consist of three-day Sunfoil Cup matches as well as the CSA One-day Provincial Challenge. The T20 competition now drops away as all the provinces are involved in the Africa T20 Cup in September and October.
The fixture lists are attached.
