6:32pm And that is all! Thank you for joining us. See you soon.

Kohli: Good outing with the bat. Exactly why we wanted to bat first if you saw the latter half of West Indies' innings. I think the rain helped them in the middle, otherwise it would have been even tougher to bat.

[Middle overs] It was important to string as many dot balls as possible. The ball got really wet every time it went out into the outfield. It was difficult to grip. We thought it was a tricky situation if we didn't get wickets there. It was just about staying there, getting one wicket and put pressure.

Kuldeep [is getting into the XI] purely because of the number of left handers. It tempts you to go with the chinaman more than the legspinner and with Jadeja is gives us more depth with the bat as well.

Shreyas is a confident guy, he's got the right attitude. Good hands. He made it easier for me.

Virat Kohli is the Man of the Match.

Holder: Extremely disappointed. We had the game in our hand. We bowled well to come back in the end. The wickets in the end really cost us. We've got to take responsibility. One of the main things is when you get in, you've got to go deep. I must commend the bowlers. It was very hot and humid, tough conditions to bowl. We've definitely got to take responsibility and ownership as batters.

6:13pm Yet again, for West Indies. We've seen that expression on Holder's face before. Not long ago, the required rate was just above six an over and they had wickets in hand. And then, inside two overs, everything turned. Bhuvneshwar with Pooran's wicket, and then a stunning catch to remove Chase. Induced a false shot from Brathwaite the next over too, and that was where it was all given away. India were feeling it a little - overthrows, misfields, angry captain. Because West Indies were in it for a long time. But they've pulled through, and it's another impressive win for them.

41.6Mohammed Shami to O Thomas, OUT, No run, given! Shami goes around the wicket, fires it in at middle stump. Oshane looks to block and is trapped right in front of the stumps. Was there bat on it? Hard to tell. No review though. That is that.

Mark: "Getting just a bit one-sided." --- You might be onto something.

41.5Mohammed Shami to JO Holder, 1 run, low full toss, dipping in at off stump. Driven to long-off.
41.4Mohammed Shami to JO Holder, No run, full toss on leg stump, flicked to deep square.
41.3Mohammed Shami to SS Cottrell, OUT, No run, holds on! Jadeja running backwards from backward point, towards third man, who is also sprinting in. Short ball in the corridor, looks to pull and slices it. Jadeja keeps his eyes on it looking over his shoulder. Fumbles after getting his hands on it, but holds on.
41.2Mohammed Shami to SS Cottrell, BOUNDARY, 4 runs, clears mid-off. Slower ball at a length outside off, backs away and carves it over the fielder.
41.1Mohammed Shami to JO Holder, 1 run, oooh curving yorker. Comes rapidly in from off stump and Holder just manages to jam it to extra cover's right.

Aaron: "How can Bhuvi go off for treatment then bowl the very next over??" --- If he's been off fewer than eight minutes, he can come back on.

Only the fifth time Bhuvneshwar has got four in an ODI. Only one of those was a five-for: back in 2017.

Rome: "Reached that crucial decisive part of the game where West Indies tease you (we're in with a chance) then they deceive you (lose wickets at pivotal stage) and then the rest is history "

Vignesh R: "That smile in Buvi's face is worth waiting till 3 am"

Sumit Bajaj: "Jadeja should get another over. We are left with 12 overs. Kaleel, bhuvi and shami together only have 10 overs left." --- Only right handers to come in the near future. We might just see him back next over. Here's Holder now.

Milind: "What's the weather like ... any further chance of D/L interventions? And can you publish how the WI score currently compares with the D/L " --- Sunny, sunny. And West Indies are 1 run above par.

Abhishek: "Anybody who see just the scoreboard but not comments will definitely think Jadeja was injured and wasnt given bowling and had to make Jadhav bowl!" --- Ah yes, 20 years later, when ODIs are 12 over affairs...or something...

Kushank: "Why haven't a four is added in Chase's fours count when overthrow 4 has been added to his score." --- Same reason Stokes didn't get an extra six in the WC final. (No, no. Not coz it was an umpiring error) He didn't hit the boundary

95 off 78. West Indies are in this, big time.

Matt: "How's the pitch been so far?" --- Dry, spongey, gripping. Seems to have eased out for batting after the rain though.

First year of Engg, sitting in lecture and checking score with what I guess 1g mobile data speed on my Nokia phone. "

Rajnikant Vadig: "now can u publish DLS par score after 4 down ?" -- The DLS par at the end of 28 overs for four wickets down is 152

Shamuk Roy: "This is where Kohli as a captain needs to mature. Just because there are two left handers at the crease, you needn't hold back Jaddu. At least try him out for couple of overs... if that doesn't work out, you can go back to Kedar."

I think we have lost that Kuldeep forever.. the one who used to have bite and used to decieve the batsmen with his guile.. guess somewhere IPL is to be blamed for it.. what do you think ?" -- Well, I think Kuldeep is most useful when the batsmen are attacking. WI know their weaknesses, so they are playing Kuldeep out as much as they can, and attacking the pacers instead. If the RR soars, Kuldeep is your ideal wicket-taking option with his variations

3:58pm The players are back on the field. And here is Sreshth.

3:51pm We HAVE lost overs. Four of them. The revised target is 270 from 46 overs. Only one bowler can bowl ten overs. Powerplay 2 will end with the 37th over.

The par scores (20 overs) are now 97 for 2, 112 for 3, 131 for 4.

3:48pm I see the last cover coming off and I hear the broadcaster say we're set for a 4pm start.

3:36pm Well, the umpires are out and they don't even need umbrellas. So the rain's stopped. Staff now dragging one cover off.

Mark: "So, we can say that the West Indies would be close on D/L if they bat the next 7 overs without losing wickets and so, the match would be in the balance. If they lose a wicket in the next 7 overs it will have inclined very much towards India."

Mehul Mittal: "93-2 would have been the par score if overs are not reduced right? If they restart for a 20 over game now - the required score would be much higher?" --- Right now? No. I believe we're still about 35 minutes away from losing overs, but that is not an official number.

Rawle Agard: "I am sure that is how Hope got out in his last 4 ODIs innings. The last 3 in CWC 2019 and then now."

Craig: "Feels like Hope has chopped on a few times in his last 15 innings. Can we check this?" --- I have him being bowled eight times (in his career) and four of them have involved inside edges. Good spot!

3:21pm And in the mean time, the covers have come on. It is raining hard. Just a reminder: we need 20 overs to be completed for a result. If we don't lose overs, the par scores are: 93 for 2, 111 for 3, 133 for 4, 160 for 5...

Ground staff getting prepared. Hetmyer is out. The DLS par score for 20 overs is 93 for 2. 111 for 3. 133 for 4.
