B Kumar to SR Watson, OUT, No run, The knuckle ball fools Watson. Back of a length, on off, sticks in the pitch, Watson does not spot the change-up, not many can. Watson flicks early and spoons a catch to Hooda at short midwicket. This carries to him nicely and he dives forward to pouch it safely.
B Kumar to SR Watson, BOUNDARY, 6 runs, hip-high short ball on off, you've got to get it up higher, Watson lines it up and swings a pull into the stands beyond midwicket. Flies over the boundary for a six. First boundary for CSK.

B Kumar to SR Watson, No run, what a gem of a delivery from Bhuvneshwar. Good length, angling in, then straightening away outside off past the outside edge near the higher part of the bat. Movement and bounce first up.
3.57pm Watson, fresh off a hundred v Royals, has a new opening partner in Faf. Bhuvneshwar takes the new ball for Sunrisers. He runs in from over the stumps. Let's roll
bhimchandra: "is bhajji singh playing? he is in the published xi but not described as part of the changes from the previous game for karn sharma" --- Apologies, Harbhajan is out again. Karn retains his place in the XI
3.50pm Our stats thala Bharath Seervi: For the first time since 2013, Sunrisers Hyderabad's playing XI will be without either David Warner or Shikhar Dhawan
CSK have been the second-best batting side in terms of run rate in the powerplay overs and SRH being the second-best economy wise. And CSK have the best run rate in death over and SRH have the best economy.
3.40pm Bhui was one of the key figures for Andhra in their run to the 50-over Vijay Hazare semi-finals. He hit three successive fifty-plus scores against Goa, Tamil Nadu, and Mumbai.
Bhui, however, had apparently been troubled by self-doubt before the start of the tournament. A one-on-one session, Andhra coach Sanath Kumar said, helped clear the batsman's cobwebs.
"When I was having a chat with Ricky Bhui, he told me: 'Sir, everybody tells me there is some problem with my technique and I always play square of the wicket'. I told him it's the wrong perception and that he can play square of the wicket because he has so much time to play that shot," Sanath explains. "All I told him was to play straight initially and not worry too much about technique because he's a good player. Once you're well set you can automatically play all your shots. He's working on it accordingly and has been consistent in the Vijay Hazare Trophy."
Sai Chand: "Do not underestimate Ricky Bhui. He was supposed to be the captain of the U-19 team for the 2016 world cup. He was later replaced by Ishan Kishan. Ricky's with SRH for 2 years now and his donestic record is solid. Has been an excellent finisher for Andhra."
Faf du Plessis: The finger I hurt against Australia in the Test series and I'm ready to go again. the IPL is a long tournament and happy to have the family with me on tour. Really excited to be back at CSK. We've always had a slow start but this year we have three [wins] from four.
Sunrisers Hyderabad: 1 Ricky Bhui, 2 Wriddhiman Saha (wk), 3 Kane Williamson (capt), 4 Yusuf Pathan, 5 Manish Pandey, 6 Shakib Al Hasan, 7 Deepak Hooda, 8 Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 9 Rashid Khan, 10 Siddharth Kaul, 11 Billy Stanlake
Chennai Super Kings: 1 Shane Watson, 2 Ambati Rayudu, 3 Suresh Raina, 4 Faf du Plessis 5 MS Dhoni (capt & wk), 6 Sam Billings, 7 Ravindra Jadeja, 8 Dwayne Bravo, 9 Karn Sharma, 10 Deepak Chahar, 11 Shardul Thakur
3.30pmSunrisers win the toss and choose to bowl first
Kane Williamson: Generally, the wicket remains similar here. Stanlake comes back in for CJ [Chris Jordan]. Bhui makes his debut in place of Shikhar. Great opportunity for Ricky, hopefully. It's always a tough game against CSK.
Dhoni: So far, so good. It's not like we are relying on one individual. Imran Tahir is not fit, so Faf comes in his place.
So, Faf has recovered from a finger injury and a side strain to add more depth to the CSK batting line-up.
Ashwin: "Come on Kane, April Fools is over now. Tell us who you actually brought in for Dhawan."
SIDDHARTH ARJUN: "@Tom DD don't have settled batting line up. They have batsman who can be used efficiently in top 3. Remember what Maxi did for KXIP when he batted at 3. They don't have players who can play that finisher's role. Talking about csk except for game 1, they have had a team performance. obviously one individual has gone big in each match but that is the nature of t20. One guy go berserk and others play around him to win"
Ashwin: "Ricky Bhui for Dhawan makes no sense. Anything above 150 and Sunrisers are going to struggle" --- Yeah, Sunrisers would have been better off had they picked Hales and maybe replaced Jordan with Sandeep
3.20pm There are questions over Shikhar Dhawan's fitness. He was hit on the elbow by a skiddy delivery from Barinder Sran in Sunrisers' first loss on Thursday. Dhawan did not return to bat, and did not train on the eve of the match. If he isn't fit, Sunrisers may look to bring in England's big-hitting opener Alex Hales. Billy Stanlake missed that game with injury, and if he's back to full fitness, Chris Jordan might have to move back to the bench.
Pradeep: "@tom de Sailor: Many will agree CSK not best batting line-up. But I was shocked reading in preview that they have best Run rate so its not wrong to call them as such.."
Logan: "Don't call Dhoni Thala. You know only thala is Ajith." --- Let's not light this fuse. Then my colleague Anuj Vignesh is the one and only Thala. Period
Ashwin: "@Tom de Sailor - Going by your logic, Rishabh Pant's individual brilliance shadowed how poor Delhi's other batsmen were yesterday and they also couldn't get the win."
CSK will be without Imran Tahir who is ill. According to the CSK website, the South Africa legspinner felt uneasy while travelling to Hyderabad and is now headed to Chennai instead for medical tests.
Ashwin: "Dhawan's injury might be a blessing in disguise for SRH. They can bring in Hales to improve their batting line up and Sandeep Sharma is atleast on par with Chris Jordan as a bowler"
Video - James Faulkner believes CSK have the momentum and backs them to win this contest
Tom de Sailor: "I strongly disagree to you saying CSK being the best batting line up in this IPL. They've been rescued thrice by individual brilliance and once failed inspite of individual brilliance. I think MI, DD and KKR have , on current form, the better batting line ups. What say?" --- Fair point. CSK don't have a balanced batting line-up, but the solo acts have worked for them. MI are just warming up this season; KKR, I agree, have an excellent batting line-up, but that wasn't enough against Gayle and Rahul.
3.15pmThala MS Dhoni v Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Shane Watson v Billy Stanlake/Chris Jordan. Suresh Raina v Rashid Khan. Sam Billings v Shakib Al Hasan. Chennai Super Kings v Sunrisers Hyderabad. The best batting line-up v the best bowling line-up in this IPL. Plenty of mouth-watering match-ups in store. My big brother Alagappan Muthu sets up the scene nicely. Sunday then peaks with Rajasthan Royals v Mumbai Indians.
