10.40pm: It's hosing down in Chester-le-Street, which is our cue to push off. Miller's report will be updated shortly and we'll be back for the one-dayers next week. Bye! 10.30pm: Time to hear from the captains, starting with Carlos Brathwaite: [Good record v England?] "This was probably more challenging, the conditions were hard to deal with and I think the umpires were close to calling it off, but I was pleased with the boys. They asked if we wanted to trudge on, we said let's give it a go and no more slip-ups happened. We had a good start and fell away but then the fight from the boys, finishing the game the way we did was fantastic. [Gayle and Lewis?] I played in the same CPL side, Evin has been striking it cleanly. They'r e fantastic to watch, and helped up off to a great start." England's Eoin Morgan: "Bowling at a pair like Lewis and Gayle was a huge opportunity to test ourselves and we didn't bowl that well. But we were happy chasing what we did, losing three wickets when we did, then Jos and Jonny having to rebuild, I think that cost us. They have full power to push the button and take it on. [Form?] It's always a concern, I don't know when I'm in or out of form. I'm looking forward to the one-day series. [Poor bowling up front] We didn't execute, just come out of playing Championship cricket; and the challenge of bowling to two very good players." Sunil Narine is Man of the Match: "Yeah, it's good to come out and put on a performance. It was tough conditions but we handled ourselves well. It's difficult with the wet ball and cold conditions, hopefully they continue in the one-day series. It's about getting the right pace and using the variations. Good to see Gayle back and we have a lot of young players. It was a good score, maybe 15 runs short but we came back and bowled well. Performing for your country and being able to win is always the best." 10.25pm: Clinical stuff from the Windies, putting their batting collapse behind them and shackling England with canny variations on a surface that was only conducive to big hitting when Gayle and Lewis were blitzing things early on. Carlos Brathwaite and Kesrick Williams took three wickets apiece and Sunil Narine tied England up with 2 for 15 from his four overs. They were cold, it was wet but West Indies were still too hot for England.
19.3 | CR Brathwaite to LE Plunkett, OUT, No run, leg stump out of the ground! Full and straight from Brathwaite, Plunkett misses and he hits - and that means West Indies have won by 21 runs.
"Ball 18.5... Between his legs - a natmeg?" Only if it's intentional, Sam
19.2 | CR Brathwaite to LE Plunkett, 2 runs, short ball, Plunkett heaves it out to deep backward square leg for one.
19.1 | CR Brathwaite to LE Plunkett, 2 runs, hits the middle of the pitch, rising up as Plunkett pulls, clothed into the leg side and they can get back for two.

"Why is Willey's batting so incompetent for England?" wonders Burli. "He's class in the Blast. " International cricket, innit
| ||||||||||||||||
Here's Smas: "Maybe it'll come down to 20 from the last over and Braithwaite bowling...." Tom Curran to do the honours?
| ||||||||||||||||
Three off the over, a brilliant one for West Indies, Narine finishing with 2 for 15
| ||||||||||||||||
"Why Rashid over Willey... It doesn't make sense... Willey just had an amazing time in Natwest Blast." He's not really done it for England, Sreenath. Might be best to leave him needing to thrash 15 off seven at the end

"Interesting WI aren't fussed about the ground fielding conditions now they're on top..." Indeed, Robin Ferguson. Although that slip on the rope might suggest they have a point

West Indies in control at the moment. To take you to the finish it's back to Alan

Even at night in mid-September in 10 degrees, spin proving key
West Indies now on top. How quickly things can change. They dusted themselves down in the last few overs. Good effort
| ||||||||||||||||
| ||||||||||||||||
That's the Powerplay done. The late wicket a boost for West Indies
Sarfaraz: "Taylor has always been very disappointing. An average bowler with poor performance always" I'll always remember that day at Sabina Park!
havalina: "if this was a football match all of the Windies players would have been booked for time wasting."
| ||||||||||||||||
England's fastest T20I fifty is off 23 balls (Bopara)
| ||||||||||||||||
Plenty of runs in the Powerplays today
The umpires are having a chat about something. Outfield conditions? A few of the fielders have been slipping around. Brathwaite doesn't seem too happy. The umpires have said play on. All a bit odd, that
| ||||||||||||||||
Well, Hales is off...anything Gayle can do
Prathamesh Nagn: "Williams must have forgotten his notebook in the Caribbean . That's a solid first over clobbering"
| ||||||||||||||||
A delay here while Walton is checked out. He's back on his feet. Senior West Indies players having a chat. We are ready to resume. Walton is okay
